The PC Tools Password Utilities includes useful features to make creating and managing passwords much simpler. Included are three main features:

• Password Generator - is an offline version of the web-based Password Generator which allows you to securely and easily create passwords locally on your own PC.

• Password Checker - a new feature that lets you check the quality and strength of a password. By entering your password in the checker it will run a series of tests on the password to indicate how strong it is, and therefore how easy it may be to guess or crack.

• Password Revealer - works with Internet Explorer to reveal saved password that you have entered in web-forms but may have subsequently forgotten or lost. Simply bring up the hidden password in Internet Explorer, highlight it, and Password Revealer will tell you the saved password.

Firebird is a relational database offering many ANSI SQL standard features that runs on Linux, Windows, and a variety of Unix platforms. Firebird offers excellent concurrency, high performance, and powerful language support for stored procedures and triggers. It has been used in production systems, under a variety of names, since 1981. The Firebird Project is a commercially independent project of C and C++ programmers, technical advisors and supporters developing and enhancing a multi-platform relational database management system based on the source code released by Inprise Corp (now known as Borland Software Corp) on 25 July, 2000.
The Firebird software is free. That means anyone can build a custom version of it, as long as that person or organisation is willing to provide the modifications, under the same IDPL licensing, for others to use.
